Hey, I was wondering how to fix the significant volume drop that happens when you put a digital pedal (Marshall Echohead Digital Delay) in line behind the Muff. Just turning up the Muff volume won’t do it because when the Muff is on and the digital pedal is off the volume is quiet, but when you have both pedals on the Muff roars back to normal volume.

I have considered adding a volume pedal after, but I am not quite sure how that works. I already have a tone pedal before the Muff to compensate for the loss of tone from the Whammy pedal.

    Thanks

Hmmm that shouldn’t happen. I’d check the patch cables.

Well, I know Marshall tend to use a passive bypass switch (similar to mechanical bypass…as far as I understand) rather than a true bypass, I wonder if this could be the cause of the problem. Does your amp have an FX loop?? If so try putting the Echohead through the FX loop and see if that makes a difference.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. It’s much more likely that it’s the bypass than it being the digital-ness.
