volume drops when you turn on the overdrive do i have a problem or is this normal
Nope, that’s not normal, the overdrive side should be pretty loud. I know first hand that the build quality on the Germanium 4 Big Muffs can be a bit iffy. I had to take mine back to the shop where I bought it to get it replaced; you may have to do the same.
