Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › VOICE BOX VOCODER MODE: PERMANENT INSTRUMENT SIGNAL ON FX-OUTPUT!!!
When i run my instrument through the voicebox and go to VOCODER MODE, i usually turn down the
instrument signal, only to hear the vocoded one! Nevertheless there is always a certain amount
of instrument signal there as i play it, which increases in volume as i turn up the Voice-Mix Knob (adds harmonics).
how can this happen–is there something wrong with the signal separation?
Do i use wrong cables? I use normal guitar cables! The manual says nothing
about the quality of the line in/outputs.
is my device faulty, or is this normal?
after all i got rid of the problem running the wet signal through a compressor,
but somehow it still bothers me, since this not the way a vocoder normally works!
any ideas?
thank you,
martin, vienna
(is it true that EH will release another vocoder soon??)
