I recently ordered a Voice Box as a gift for someone, and because I don’t know much about electronics, I thought maybe you folks could help me out.
The Effects Output is XLR, and the person I bought the gift for doesn’t have a mixer or on-stage breakout box as the instructions suggest.
My question is: Can they still get it plugged into an amplifier using an XLR to 1/4″ adapter or cable? Or, do I need to return the gift?
Thanks!
The thing is you will need two amplifiers if you want the instrument and vocal sound. The instrument out is a standard 1/4″. There should be no problem running a XLR to 1/4″ for the Mic since the VoiceBox is a preamp too!
well, it needs to run into something…. do you know what he usually uses to run his vocals into? If it’s for recording he can run the vocal output into whatever he uses, if it’s a PA he can run it straight into that… (using an xlr to jack if need be.
Yes a XLR to 1/4″ adapter is what I use and it works just fine.
