Hi
Just got me a voice box and it sounds great! but i have a problem, when i plug the guitar jack (from the instrument output) into my guitar amp and the XLR (from the effects output) into the PA system there is an awful hum/buzz coming back through my guitar amp which effects the sound of my guitar in a bad way.
It’s almost like there is a problem with the outputs and i’ve tried different leads, plug sockets and guitars etc in search of an earthing problem.
hmmm bad buzz
HELP MEEEEE!!!
Definitely a grounding problem
Is there a ground switch on the back of your amp and your PA?
No i can’t see any ground switches on the amp or pa
hmmm that’s unfortunate, that’s a nice feature to have. Ever get shocked by your microphone while playing guitar?
I’ve had similar problems when trying to use the stereo channel of my SMMH for my microphone, though I’m not sure how to solve it. I would think on the Voice Box that wouldn’t be a problem.
Not many people who post here have a Voice Box yet, but check back and see if Rick Stevenson responds here, he’s an EH staff member and he could possibly help you out.
the problem seems to be fixed now. It was a dodgy power lead on my amp.
so i nicked the bass player’s power lead and the buzzing stopped
awesome
multi harmoni!
