Hi,
I recently purchased on Ebay a USA Vintage Clone Theory.
I’m in Europe, I tried to run it with a voltage transformer (220v to 125v), but it won’t work this way.
I’m thinking about taking the internal power supply out and use an external power supply.
What kind of power supply do I need, 18v DC or what?
If someone could give me that info, I’d be very grateful.
Cheers
Pablo
18vdc at 100mA should do the trick.
I can’t see why it wouldn’t work with a voltage step down/plug converter, I’m in the UK and I use one with my EHX Graphic EQ and it works fine. It’s just s simple thing like this.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UK-TO-US-STEP-DOWN-VOLTAGE-CONVERTER-240-120V-45-WATT_W0QQitemZ290321425875QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET?hash=item43988165d3&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:12|66:4|39:1|72:1683|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:200
I don’t know, maybe they sold me a defective converter…
Anyway the converter I got’s a huge and heavy son of a bitch, I’ll try to go for a smaller one or maybe I do change the supply.
Thanks for the answers!
