Okay so I dont have a delay and I really need one but I dont have the kind of cash for a memory man. Even though it would pretty much be sacrilegious to EHX Im contemplating getting the Behringer Vintage Time Machine which is a DMM clone. What to do!? :freak:
it’s not a clone, they just tried to make it look as similar as possible, from what I’ve heard it sounds nothing like a DMM.
you’d probably be better off with something like a Ibanez DE-7 or even a Dano Fab Echo if you want a cheapo delay.
The Ibanez DE-7 is great, I watched some demos on YouTube for the VM-1, it’s quite cool. I’d buy it just ‘cos of the price, you can always circuit-bend it to hell
Hmm I heard it was supposed to be a clone of the DMM, I guess that was false.
Well, imo it is, at least all the functions and stuff are straight from the dmm.
I already have a DMM (custom w/ blue graphics for a former EHX employee) so I’ll be picking up a Time Machine sometime soon. I’ve started collecting EHX clones since I can’t find EH stuff I don’t have.
lol, no need to ask for forgivness!!!!
I’m still suprised they got away with it to be honest, I would have thought Mike would have flown to Germany and banged on their office door!!
I suppose it doesn’t matter really, no-one is gonna buy one by mistake thinking it’s a DMM. I mean their other pedals don’t seem to have effected Boss sales…..and most people who buy behringer pedals aren’t gonna want to buy a massive great pedal like that anyway!
I wish I had that problem
When I first saw this pedal I was gonna get one but TBH I would rather pay more and get a DMM, but thats unlikely too as I dont use delay much and I already have two.
