I am working on this vintage small stone for a friend of mine. I’m guessing that it is from the late 70’s. I took a couple of photos of the board. There is some sloppy soldering That I want to clean up.

I would like to think that the sloppy solder was not from the factory. I’m assuming that a previous owner got in there and gobbed some solder around.
I am going to replace the footswitch because the one in it doesn’t work.
My friend gave me one that he had ordered, but it is alittle different than the one that’s in it. (see photos)

Will this footswitch work? There is a slightly different terminal layout.
How would I need to wire it correctly?
Did it come from the factory with that foam piece between the board and switch? Or is that a rig job?
    (see photos)

    Any input would be helpful.

    That’s typical factory soldering.

For your footswitch, there are 3 wires. One comes from the output jack and it goes to the angled lug. The other 2 wires go to the other 2 lugs, it doesn’t matter which.

Thanks Ron, Thats what I was thinking, but I was thrown off at the jumper wire from one end to the other on the footswitch.

(you can see it in the pic of my thumb)
