Hello all,
I’m a FNG, so I apologize for any etiquette errors.I’ve done a search and have had confusing results at best. I have an old memory man and deluxe electric mistress that I would like to find the manual and schematics for (PDF or other printable doc is fine – I’m not looking for the physical documents. My problem is, I don’t know the year or model/serial number. The best I can do is provide pictures:
Thank you in advance for any information or help

The Memory Man pictured there has the chorus, but not the stereo chorus. I think EHX started making the Stereo Memory Man around 1980-1981.
The Deluxe Electric Mistress pictured there is the same version I have (green paint), and it still uses the old Reticon BBD chips. I think that EHX started using the Panasonic chips around 1980.

My Memory Man is still pretty clean sounding – the pots were a little scratchy, but some electrical cleaner/lube helped that, and there’s the usual cracks, buzzes and pops if you plug in with the amp on, but the Deluxe Electric Mistress has a background noise that’s very audible when you’re not playing – I use it for the Flanger function only, so when I mute my strings there’s the swishing in and out sound. I seem to remember it working better with my old Sunn 1000S, which had a polarity switch – comes in real handy, unless you like getting lit up when your lips touch the Mic – so it may just be a matter of turning the electrical plug around – neither has the wide/narrow polarized blades.
Thanks again for the info, and anyone who can point me in the direction to where I can D/L the literature I’m looking for, please chime in. I found a Deluxe Electric Mistress manual, but all I can find on the Memory Man is for the Deluxe or Stereo models – It’s like the plain old regular Memory Man is pretty rare, and info on it is almost non-existent.
Oh, also, If anyone knows the rough value of these two effect – both in the about the same cosmetic condition pictured above, i would like that as well. I’ve seen them on Ebay for anywhere between $250-$400 U.S., so that’s quite a range. I will be selling them as I’m unemployed and broke, but that may be for another forum – apologies to mods if I’m cross-posting.
