Good morning to all EH pedals fan.I’m new in this forum.I’d like to buy a vintage memory man deluxe.I found this one for 330 Euros. Can you help me to date this pedal from photos.Do you suggest me to buy a previous version? From information I got the vintage 5 knob deluxe version should be the best one and with a minimun of delay time.
Thank you to all.
By the knobs I’m thinking not vintage, but early reissue. Can you post a pic of the pcb?
Thank you for your fast reply…..I was sure it is a 70s first model….
I have only this photo…I hope it is sufficient….
Looks like a vintage unit after all. Not sure of the year but sometime between 1979-82. I’d say the knobs have been replaced at some point.
Anyone can give me an answer please?
Thanks . Alessandro.
Without checking the backs of the pots for their codes it can’t be dated any more accurately.
Thank you….could you give me a reasonable cost for this pedal…and a suggestion if it could be a good purchase?
330 Euros sounds reasonable according to completed ebay auctions. It’s a great delay. If you can live with the size of it I’d go for it.
Thanks. ….the last question…In our opinion do you suggest me a previous version or a reissue better than this one? I’m looking for a warm and deep vintage sound. …I don’t care about the pedal dimension. Information from the web tells that the 5 knob first version of memory man deluxe seems be the best one for the sound quality and delay time ( previous version have less delay max time).
Since it’s no easy to try this pedals I’m also afraid of a too dark sound…..
Nope, I’d go with this one. It has the better MN3005 delay ICs and is a very good sounding analog delay.
Do you think a 90s reissue version could be better? I heard that internal power supply brings to noise and 90s model with external power supply are quieter……Regarding the calibration of the device are the vintage ones less stable?
Thanks. Alessandro.
Does anyone manage to compare a 90s reissue and a vintage model like mine? Is the noise much higher with the vintage one?
I’ve not noticed a difference.
Guys I bought the pedal!!! Thanks to all!
