I recently bought a vintage LPB-1 at a flea market for the low price of $1. It’s the kind with all black text and a male plug for the amp side of it. The problem is that the pot is toast, and the knob is gone… The pot is also such an odd size that finding a knob for it would be difficult. I also can’t make out what the pot value should be.
Can anyone help me out by telling me what the value of the pot should be, and where I can get a replacement? Same goes for the knob. A schematic might also be helpful just to make sure everything else in it is correct.
Thanks in advance, guys!
It’s a 100k pot with a 1/8″ shaft. How do you know it’s toast?
Well, the threaded part of the shaft also spins… It’s not supposed to do that…
Have you taken it apart to check on the pot?
I actually purchased it without the screws that held it together, so I’ve seen the pot, and it doesn’t look like it will work. The man I got it from also said he didn’t think it would work either. I can’t test it yet because one lead from the battery is disconnected right now.
