Can somebody please explain to me the functions and differences between all of the vintage EHX wah pedals? The three I’m aware of are the Crying Tone, Queen Triggered Wah, and the Talking pedal.

There’s also a fuzz wah version that adds an IC-based fuzz circuit.
The Queen Wah has the ability to be an envelope filter.
The Talking Pedal has a special circuit that allows the pedal to create very vocal sounds.July 4, 2009 at 12:40 pm #98861WatsonWoodMemberWhat function(s) does the treadle control on the Talking Pedal?

I could be dreaming, but I thought I saw a pic of the insides, and it had a dual potentiometer.

That’s pretty much it.

All those in favour of a re-issue are warmly invited to vote and join the ARC on the thread below:

Great pedals, great sounds, and it would be a great re-issue!
September 21, 2009 at 1:04 am #101643nibblegribitzMemberHi,
I recently came across a “mint” Queen Triggered Wah and a Octave Multiplxer Treadle(missing feet) while going through some stuff in my closet.
Any body think I’ll get a good price on ebay?
I just sold a triangle second edition(really clean)Big muff for 500+ and a “mint” rackmount Vocoder for 500+.(thought I might get more for the Vocoder)nibblegribitz

October 1, 2009 at 7:29 am #101953WatsonWoodMemberYes, the Crying Tone will sound very good with bass, preferably either a Gibson Les Paul bass, or a string bass with a Shadow pick-up, on the low pass frequency selector position, or with a Fender Jazz bass on the mid-low pass frequency selector position. Add a Muff in the loop and the mid-high and high sweep selector positions can produce great harmonics, especially with a Rickenbacker or a Fender Precision bass.
