Hi everyone.
I already mentioned on another post about htis issue with my EM, but now I have videos
I have narrowed the problem down to the range control. When I’m set between 0 and the first marker (3’o’clock) it’s all fine. When I get the range beyond the first marker, there’s noise on the cycle. I opened the EM up today again, after a long time, to check things… resoldered a cable that got loose from the footswitch, and also found a capacitor that was only soldered on one of it’s terminal. I attached the other to the corresponding hole, switched everything back on and nothing changed.
Below are a couple of videos I recorded to demonstrate the issue. The first one is me strumming the open guitar and fussing around the controls (and holding the camera). It’s the sound (and noise) I’m used to. On the second one I recorded a loop on a delay pedal and kept it running through the EM so that the acoustic sound of the guitar wouldn’t get in the way. The noise sounded different… I have no idea why.
Please help me
I’d rather not send the unit to Howard Davis because I live in Brazil and it would be a bit troublesome… I’d probably have to pay absurd import taxes to get the pedal back from the USA.
