Home › Forums › Vintage EHX › Vintage Black Finger ??? – unique?
I have looked in goggle and not seen one like this.
Is it unique or valuable?
See video …
Those are pre-1976 or even earlier (1973?). I’ve seen them in one of the earlier catalogs.
Value? See the link in my signature.
How does it sound?
I have one from the late 70s, and I think it does a great job of sustaining clean single note leads, melodic lines, or ambient work:, but it’s just too noisy for me to use with chords.
Not unique but pretty rare, probably quite valuable to a collector, but I have no idea how much someone would be prepared to pay for it as, like you say, you don’t see them often.
More like 1974 or earlier.
Sounds pretty good to me !
p.s. the audio on the youtube video is not a demo of the box (just me goofin around)
Is this effect box version 0 or 1 of the Black Finger ?
The common older one has a finger graphic on the box.
I have found one other photo of it – see link …

cheers !
Version 0 would probably be a prototype so this is V1 of the Black Finger.
ive got one of these as well, was never sure of the year. i assumed it was a v1
