    I bought a vintage LPB-1 and I think it has to be one of the first:

    * no “power booster” print
    * output on left side
    * “LPB1” instead of “LPB-1”
    * “1204 Broadway” address on box

    It looks exactly like the LPB1’s in this 1968(?) Wexler catalog:

    Found my old one in a box yesterday. Bought it new back around 1968.
    I see that its power flow is the left to right scheme. Interesting that there seem to be left to right and right to left versions.

    You are right! That is an early one. I had a Muff Fuzz with the Plug on the opposite side and the input on the right, just like yours. I have an older LPB-1 Power Booster without the mono male phone plug. Amp on right and input on left. Mine is all beat up but still works excellent. Nice relic you have there, congrats.

    Hi, I have acquired a non-working original LPB-1 and I am trying to verify that this is the correct schematic for it. It’s confusing since the reissue is called the same thing, and that there is controversy over it being an exact reissue of the original, or slightly tweaked. Any verification of this schematic would be much appreciated.

    I’ve got one something like the one you posted but with two female jacks. The hot wire from the battery was disconnected when I got it. Can you do me a favor and tell me where the red wire is connected to? My guess is the back of the volume pot but I’m not sure. Mine came in a different box with some paper work from Lafayette. I’ll post a pic later. thanks
