Any good tips out there to get velcro off used pedals without ruining the cosmetics?
if the glue is strong and your worried about it peeling the paint off, use a hair dryer to warm the glue first.
i also like to use “Goo Gone” to remove any sticky residue. its all natural and i haven’t ever had issues with it ruining finishes, even on guitars. and it smells great too!
also for larger clumps of glue before using the goo gone, as long as your not worried about a vintage paint chipping off, keep placing the old (or newer piece) velcro on it and pull off fast, most larger clumps should stick to the other adhesive on the velcro strip.
Lighter fluid – works like a charm.
