A recent trip to Guitar Center yielded something pretty awesome: A 4 knob Deluxe Memory Man, for dirt cheap. I of course bought it impulsively, because hey, it’s a friggin DMM. However though, I’m not sure if it’s what I entirely want, simply because it is noisy and puts just a little too much distortion in my signal.
So I was just wondering, should I end up selling this thing, what do they fetch for? I can’t seem to find any for sale anywhere, and I’m not going to trust the price I originally payed for it, because the guys at Guitar Center honestly did not know its worth. It’s in perfect playing condition. The case has some corrosion spots on it, and of course the paint is scratched and chipped like most vintage gear is. But overall in pretty decent shape.
Thanks guys. Oh, and, feel free to shoot me a message if anyone is interested in it.
The original 4 knobbers will usually fetch anywhere between $200 – $300 on eBay depending on the condition of it, and whether you are willing to sell internationally.
I’ve owned several of them and sold them, but I’ve kept one. I wouldn’t want it to be my only delay option, but it has a very unique tonal quality that works perfectly in certain applications. I plan to hold on to it. Here are couple of demos I did for 2 units that I ended up selling.
