Hey Guys! Damn! Same problem here… I was confident that I would be able to control the V256 right off the box with my old keyboard (a stone age Viscount College, that since now worked superbly as MIDI controller), but no way… Does anyone can give me some advice? Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot!If you’ve set your midi keyboard to the channel the v256 uses by default and it doesn’t respond then you probably have a faulty unit.
You should be able to set the v256 to omni so it works on all channels but if you know your keyboard is sending midi on the channel the v256 uses by default and no response then I suggest rma.

Well, considering what I read here, this was what I was afraid of… These days I am trying to change or the midi channel of my keyboard (I actually don’t know if is on channel 16) or the OMNI setting of the V256… The problem is I still don’t understand how to do it! :red: I believe that something like MidiKarval MidiMapper (I use a PC) would help me to do so. But How can I use it? What do I need to change midi settings of the v256 and/or my keyboard’s? Any sort of “guide for dummies” would be really welcome! :cheese:
January 22, 2014 at 6:08 pm #119634mathyoutooMemberHi-
I’ve had my v256 for about two months now,
No problems. Then all of a sudden, yesterday
I couldn’t get any wet signal to come out. When I turn the dial 100% wet, no signal.
When I bring it back, I hear my voice.
I’ve been running it with the same midi controller
on channel 16 since I bought it. No idea why it
just stopped seein it.
Any thoughts?Thanks!

I’ve been using my V256 for a couple months now
with the same midi controller on ch16 with no issues.Yesterday all of a sudden, it’s not seeing midi anymore.
With the mix 100% wet, there is no output. When I pull the mix back,
I get dry signal.Any ideas?

But to do this, I have to make the first connection through the channel 16. Is it correct? That’s correct. Once you change to OMNI ON, the V256 should stay in that mode even after power cycling.
any direction on how to do all of this?

So I could add a slide controller, define CC 125 to it and turn the slider to “0”, and…voilà!!! All channels were receiving information and I could play the V256 with the guitar plugged in my Roland GR-20. Great pedal !!!!!!! (and now I know a lot of things about MIDI…good).i got midipipe. i can get it to work with the program open, but is there a way for the pedal to save the midi changes once i close midipipe?

December 12, 2014 at 8:02 pm #120432MrSitcomMemberHi.
My V256 receives Midi notes fine, but sustain (cc64) is not recognized. Any thoughts what could be the problem?
Thanks, MrSitcom
October 23, 2018 at 3:58 pm #124432sabina12345MemberIt is 2018 and the MIDI problem is still there.
I have tested my new V256 all possible ways and not getting MIDI.
My controller is sending MIDI via channel 16, nothing happens.
I already tested cables, controller using other intstruments, etc… nothing! This is the second unit that I test, since the first I purchased was replaced because of the same problem!
