I’m sorry I don’t have the answer, but I wanted to post a comment here to say that I’ve just read the V256 manual online, as I’m thinking about purchasing it, and I didn’t understand that part, either.

    Please clarify this, someone . . .

    LED [major]
    [minor] C
    A C#
    A# D
    B D#
    C E
    C# F
    D F#
    D# G
    E G#
    F A
    F# A#
    G B
    G#
    1 VOX-ROBO 1 – – – – – – – – – – ON ON
    2 VOX-ROBO 2 – – – – – – – – ON ON ON –
    3 VOX-ROBO 3 – – – – – – ON ON ON – – –
    4 SINGLE DRONE – – – – – ON ON – – – – –
    5 MAJOR DRONE – – – ON ON – – – – – – –
    6 MINOR DRONE – ON ON ON – – – – – – – –
    7 TRANSPOSITION ON ON – – – – – – – – – –

    What does that mean?

    Thanks!

Anyway, how do you like the V256, bluefish? Have you tried the INSTRUMENT CTRL setting yet, which changes the pitch of what you’re singing to the note being played on an instrument you run into the instrument input jack? I’m very curious to hear any impressions about that feature.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I’m glad you’re diggin’ the V256.

But what I don’t understand is that the “LED ladder” doesn’t seem tall enough, so to speak, to let you choose all of the keys . . . one would need 12 LEDs, no? And there’s only 9 in the “ladder”.

hi it does have 12 options on the v256 led ladder by useing the combnation of 1 led on 2 led on as it moves up the ladder just as stated before no clarity on which mode its on either major or minor in reflex tune

Thanks for clarifying. When I get one, I’m going to come up with a handy chart that lets me know what key is where, that’s for sure.

Is there any chance of you posting, or e-mailing me, some mp3s of the V256 in action, particularly of the INSTRUMENT CTRL feature? EHX didn’t go into it on their video of it, unfortunately.

    Thanks again.

    Hey guys,

I, too, was wondering how the heck to interpret that stupid chart that EHX provides and that’s how I came across this post on google. I’m a web designer for my job and it looked like an HTML table with the code stripped out. So I spent a few minutes putting the code back in and it worked. I don’t know how the HTML will render in the message board pane, so you might have to copy the code into a .txt file and then change the extension of the .txt to .html… Anyway, thanks so much to EHX for ever fixing this, seeing that some of these comments are 6 years old. Really on the ball there.

    Code:

    <

    major C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B
    minor A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G#
    1 VOX-ROBO 1 ON ON
    2 VOX-ROBO 2 ON ON ON
    3 VOX-ROBO 3 ON ON ON
    4 SINGLE DRONE ON ON
    5 MAJOR DRONE ON ON
6 MINOR DRONE ON ON ON
    7 TRANSPOSITION ON ON
