    hi there,

    does anyone happen to know if the V256’s Vocoder is by the same ex-EMS designer as the EHX Voicebox’s?

    it’ll be a clincher if it is….

    no one want to break cover on this?

    perhaps someone would be able to let me know whether the vocoder circuitry is the same on the two devices?

    Yes the V256 is designed by the same ex-EMS designer who also designed the Voice Box.

    The vocoder algorithm in the V256 is the same as in the Voice Box but with a bit more control and the internal synths.

    I had heard something about him working on the V256, but wasn’t sure if he worked on the VoiceBox as well. I love the vocoder in the VooceBox. Been runnin my Korg R3 into a BMPwTW and then into the VB. Having preprogrammed melody lines in Ableton allows me to twiddle the knobs while I play. Deadly:)
