    Hi,

    Recently got a Memory Boy, and I like it so much, I decided to get another so I can have separate delays for each amp in a stereo amp configuration. What an awesome pedal! It’s got great sound, great features, and it’s inexpensive!

    I use the expression pedal function to control modulation rate, which allows for very cool Leslie speaker type effects.

    When I got my second Memory Boy, I tried to plug my expression pedal (a Roland EV-5) into both, using a Y cable, a coupler and two short, right-angle cables. I was excited to have the Leslie-like effect coming out of both amps, but it didn’t work! In theory, it seems like it should. Why doesn’t it? Will I be able to have expression pedal control for two Memory Boys with 1 expression pedal if I use another expression pedal? Or is it necessary to have a separate expression pedal for each Memory Boy?

    You need to wire it differently. A normal Y cable won’t work.

    Do you have a digital multimeter?

    the simple solution is to drill a hole and add a stereo jack to it, that you’d wire into the potentiometer the same way as pictured. You’d then need a stereo cable to plug into your expression jack.

    You might need to clip the one wire on the jack though I’m not sure which one.

    You mean convert the EV-5 expression pedal plug into a stereo plug?
