HEY THERE EVERYBODY!! I JUST GOT A WORM XO BUT I HAVE SOME DOUBTS ABOUT IT, MAYBE SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME…
FIRST QUESTION: I HAD TO BUY AN “UK TO EU” ADAPTER BECAUSE THE POWER SUPPLY HAD THE CLASSIC UK STYLE PLUG (I BOUGHT THE PEDAL ON EBAY FROM AN ENGLISH GUY) WHILE I LIVE IN ITALY…I THINK THE PEDAL IS AWESOME BUT IN MY OPINION THE FOUR MODULATION EFFECTS LACK A BIT OF “DEPTH”…MAYBE THIS CAN BE THE RESULT OF USING THE UK TO EU ADAPTER?SECOND QUESTION(S): SINCE I AM REALLY NEW TO GUITAR PEDALS, WHAT CAN I DO WITH AN EXPRESSION PEDAL CONNECTED TO THE WORM? IS IT LIKE CHANGING THE EFFECTS BY ROLLING THE KNOBS WITH THE HANDS? I FOUND A GUY ON
EBAY WHO’S SELLING A ROCKTRON HEX FOR CHEAP, CAN I USE THIS EXPRESSION PEDAL WITH THE WORM?GIVE ME SOME TIPS!!
ROCK ON!!
MARCO FROM ITALY :rawk:November 7, 2010 at 7:42 pm #112447dsl1MemberRegarding the UK > EU Adapter – there will be no change in sound/depth because of it.
Regarding the Expression Pedal:
From Manual:
“…set to MANUAL/EXP mode, the internal modulation waveform is disconnected from the circuit and the RANGE knob will sweep through the effect. In addition, while in MANUAL/EXP mode, you can connect an expression pedal or control voltage (between 0 – 5V only) to the EXP. PEDAL jack and use the expression pedal to sweep the effects.
Acceptable expression pedals include: M-Audio EX-P, Moog Expression Pedal, Roland EV-5 and Boss FV-500L.”

Here there are all the specs of the FCV100, it’s the english version of the manual:http://www.behringer.com/EN/downloads/pdf/FCV100_P0219_S_EN.pdf
I have attached the whole PDF!
Give me some tips!

January 28, 2011 at 3:19 pm #114035Mr.GrimMemberi also have the XO worm, and it is great as an auto wah, but the other modes do lack depth as you mentioned, you need to think of them as extra throw ins. it wasn’t made to be the best phaser, vibro, trem. thats how its made, they make other pedals dedicated to be the best at those effects.

As you can see if you read the previous posts, I am having a bit of pain in deciding which one to buy…January 29, 2011 at 3:16 am #114042Mr.GrimMemberi have and use the m-audio ep-1 i think its called, i admit i didn’t want it at first because its plastic, but it is actualy very sturdy! and its cheap and works with everything that i can find (definitely anything EHX, they actualy include it with sum of there larger models)
it has a pot on the side to adjust the range, and a switch on the bottom to turn it into a different type to work with other pedals.
i also use a couple of different personal made expression pedals.
i haven’t found much use for the expression on the other modes, just the wah setting really, it works well with it, but otherwise like i sed the phaser, vib, and trem, modes i dont realy use it for that.

Neither the early tremolos nor the early vibratos built into amplifiers had much depth, but they did have unique and very pleasant sounds that this pedal has tried to capture.
