    Hey, I took my old Micro Synthesizer, exactly like this one, with me to Europe:

    I plugged the AC adapter in to an outlet (in France) and then into the unit and turned it on…the LED came on and it seemed like it was working, but I didn’t have a chance to test it. Then, the LED went out and didn’t come back on; I flicked the power switch on and off a few times, and then got scared and unplugged it all.

    Would I have fried it with the different wall current? Or maybe (hopefully) it’s just the AC adapter?

    If my beloved Micro Synthesizer is in fact zip-zapped, is it easy to fix?

    You fried something. Your adapter is made for 120vac. France uses 220vac. With any luck you may have just fried the adapter but you might’ve also fried something in the pedal. Get a correct adapter for wherever you’re currently at and see if the pedal still works.

    ok, back in USA.

    plugged it in and nothing happened. where should i buy a new electro-harmonix AC adapter?

    i don’t want to buy an off-name one because i tried the micro-synth once with a (supposedly) electrically equivalent adapter and it didn’t work right

    This happened to myself and our bassist a couple of years ago at a festival in Paris,
    fortunately the support band graciously helped us out…but I remember the mini freak outs after thinking I’d zapped my pedals. Thankfully it was just the power supply.
