The volume on my Tube Zipper slowly dies out after a few minutes of playing. If I disengage it for 5-10 seconds, it usually comes back to life a little, then slowly disappears again.

It also has been taking a longer time than usual to warm up and come to life when I plug in the Electro Harmonix power supply. And I have to crank the Master Volume knob up to ~4 o’clock just to get a decent level out of it.

Are these symptoms of my Tubes dying? Something else?

It wouldn’t hurt to throw a few different 12ax7s in there and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah I wish I had some 12AX7’s laying around to test.

Do you know what tubes come stock with the Tube Zipper? Mine has some made in China 12AX7b’s.

That’s what I thought. I bought this one used so I guess someone replaced the tubes at some point.

I hope this is just a matter of replacing old tubes…

You could just take it to a store and be like “I think thisneeds new tubes, can I try some?” And then plug it in and see if that makes a dif.
