Got a tube zipper off ebay (i know, I know!). I get the distortion sounds perfect and it sounds amazing. However, the light on the oscillation doesn’t come on and I can’t get the “crazy” effects. The two switches don’t seem to work either.

I have connected the seller hoping for a refund. In the meantime, is there anything I can try to see if I can get it working? The tubes inside seem to be fine (the light up. I have also plugged and unplugged them just be sure).

It didn’t come with instructions, I did a search and it seems that the controls should work.

    Anyone?

well you could contact ehx info@ehx.com and ask about repair. They can repair it for you, but since it isn’t under warranty, it will cost you a few bucks. Though from accounts from other EHX users, I’ve heard that it isn’t costly.

Or maybe Puretube (the guy who designed it!) can chime in

The guy who I bought it off is going to get it repaired for me. If it can’t be fixed he is giving me a refund. Shame, I have wanted to get my hands on this for ages. It’s a great pedal.

Either a wire came off the switches or…

be sure to have the resonance & sensitivity turned up clockwise
and the frequency turned down counterclockwise
    for ENV-MODE “UP”,
    or the frequency turned UP
    for ENV-MODE “DOWN”.

High resonance is esp. mandatory for “TRILL”-mode.

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work. Having no experience of electronics i’d rather not go fiddling around inside with loose wires.
I’m sending it back and buying a brand new one next week.
