Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Tri-Parallel Mixer – Stopped Working
I bought a Tri-Parallel Mixer about 18 months ago for creating cool parallel bass effects. I used it for 1 gig before the pandemic closed down all the shows. I just started gigging again and went to test my pedal board ready for a show and the Tri-Parallel mixer has simply stopped working.
It doesn’t pass any audio at all not even in Bypass Mode. If I engage any of the loops and turn up the Master or Bypass volumes I get an awful noise from the unit. The problem remains the same with or without FX loops plugged in. Just using the unit on its own in bypass mode it won’t pass any audio at all.
I have tried doing the “Factory Reset” by holding down various combinations of pedals as the unit is powered on, but nothing will restore the audio path through this pedal.
Inside everything looks good. There are no loose wires and most of the contents are PCB’s anyway. All the jacks are still like new and feel good and positive.
I am gutted as it was stored inside my house for the whole pandemic and has probably been used for about 5 hours in total since new. But because of the pandemic it is now 18 months old and I assume well out of warranty.
Does anybody have any idea if there is likely to be a fix for this? I am thinking it is most likely a failed op amp or other chip.
Any usefull suggestions very much appreciated.
