    I am looking for historic information on EHX Pulsar.
    When where they produced and what are the different versions of it?

    The vintage unit came out around 1979 and was just a single version in a Small Stone-sized enclosure. Rate and Depth controls and a switch for changing the wave.
    The reissue was a big box like the Big Muff. Not really a reissue since the circuit was completely different. A few years ago they changed it over to the smaller box like the current Little Big Muff and went stereo.

    given their scarcity, probably no more than a few hundred. I don’t have a production unit but I do have the prototype.

    Cool! Does it look the same as the production unit?

    I have one, with box (not sure about papers).

    Ah, no enclosure? Very nice, I don’t think I ever saw vintage EH prototypes before :)

    I wonder why they made so few of them…. It’s not like they had other tremolo models or anything is it?

    It might have something to do with the fact that many of the amplifiers of that time had a built-in tremolo/vibrato effect. But it’s still weird that they made so few, I would really like to have one right now!

    That, and also if I recall correctly, tremolo wasnt very fashionable in the late 70s or early 80s. It didnt really become cool again until Johnny Marr and then the Shoegazers.

    is the Pulse Modulator related to the Pulsar circuit? I would love to get my hands on one those!

    No, it’s a completely different circuit. I could probably build you a Pulse Modulator.

    Ah yes, I asked if you could do that for my empty Pulse Modulator enclosure:
