so basically the differences between the memory boy and the XO DMM is that the DMM has NOS chips and a gain knob, but is over triple the price and a fair bit larger.
i’m getting the feeling that the DMM will be in short supply pretty quick here.

I have a feeling that the Memory Boy & Toy will be amazing, BUT will not come close to the sound of the DMM. Even the newer DMMs sound different than the old ones… I think there’ll be a very noticeable sound difference for folks playing cleaner tones. And I’m guessing the oscillation will sound/handle differently as well.
I was on the hunt for an analog delay yesterday. Local shop in NYC had a BOSS DM-3 for sale for 300 bucks. I found a guy to buy it from for $150. Decided to take a walk to another local shop. Nothing really caught my eye.
2 blocks away I suddenly thought…Memory Boy???? What’s a Memory Boy??? Aren’t those not even out??? Amazon lists them for August 8th and other sites list September. I turned around and walked back to the shop and sure enough…it was sitting there in the display. Apparently they just got 2 of them.
IT IS SWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.
100% wet blend is there. 550ms delay. 1 toggle is for square/triangle waveform. other toggle used for expression pedal or to choose chorus or trem.
FUN PEDAL. Warm. More than what I needed and at such a great price!
You need to make the output of the effect attach to the dry output on the switch, very simple mod. Add a switch in there, and you have an on/off trails option… As the MBoy is analog, it should be an easy thing to do, although if the casing is as packed as all of the recent EHX builds – it might be difficult only because getting the guts out of the box to work on it will be tuff.
