Hi, I’m a dude named Tony from southern Norway! 3
I bought a Micro POG from the US a few weeks ago, but haven’t been able to use it jet(sucks to be me).
I didn’t think over various facts about electrisity so when i plugged the adapter to the wall, it went a few seconds and the adapter “exploded” giving away funky smells(my bad). And now. The real question comes.. I’ve read these two things regarding use of adapters:
1 – “..9V Power Jack – Connect the output plug from the AC Adapter that was supplied with your Micro POG to this jack, located at the top of the Micro POG. The Micro POG accepts Boss style AC Adapters”.
2 – “WARNING: Use only the 9.6VDC/200mA AC adapter the Micro POG comes supplied with. Do not use any other AC adapters. Using other AC adapters, even those made by Electro-Harmonix, could cause harm to the unit, the adapter or you. The Micro POG does not use batteries”.
I’ve been around asking for an adapter with the same volts and mA, but i can manage to find. When you guys write “USE ONLY THE ADAPTER THE POG COMES SUPPLIED WITH(9.6v)” and “The POG accepts Boss style AC adapters”, I dont know what to do.
I have a T-Rex Fuel Tank Power Supply for my other peddals. Can i also us the fuel tank on the Micro pog? The Tank gives away 9v.. The same as a Boss style AC does i’d imagine ? oor.. should I order a new 9.6v from you guys?
Please help me out here. Im dying to get this pedal up and running for the blues band!

October 28, 2009 at 8:47 am #102769T0ny1234MemberSo what your saying is that I can use the POG with my Fuel Tank adapter from T-Rex?
October 28, 2009 at 10:50 am #102773The EH ManModeratorIf the output can supply at least 200mA, then it should work.
November 10, 2009 at 11:43 am #103597T0ny1234MemberThe fuel tank has 500mA to supply. Will it work ?

November 27, 2009 at 7:19 am #104304T0ny1234Membereight 9-volt DC output plugs, all sharing the same ground. Giving a total of 500 mA.

This is the Warning that comes with the POG:
WARNING: Use only the 9.6VDC/200mA AC adapter the Micro POG comes supplied with. Do not use any other AC adapters. Using other AC adapters, even those made by Electro-Harmonix, could cause harm to the unit, the adapter or you. The Micro POG does not use batteries. Please say it will work!
November 27, 2009 at 12:08 pm #104307The EH ManModeratorIt should work but it will take away a chunk of your available current.
November 28, 2009 at 11:00 am #104344T0ny1234MemberSo the Pog will not be damaged in any way ?
November 28, 2009 at 2:14 pm #104349Kekke466MemberNo your pog will not be damaged, if your powersupply is less then 200mA he’ll have trouble supplying your unit to fully work well.
I strongly suggest to use a standalone adapter that can deliver 200mA dedicated to your pog. If you daisychain your pedals up like with a One spot adapter the final current draw of all your pedals could exceed the 1000mA that is the maximum your adapter can give.
If your pedals draw more current this will result in your pedals not working properly and this is not good for the powersupply neither.
