I was playing with my Memory Man the other day, recording loops and over dubbing then after taking a quick break I went back and found that the tap/record button just stopped working. Any help will be greatly appreciated…

    Thanks! :rawk:

    Try one of the following

    1. Spray switch with contact cleaner (available from electronics shops etc)
    2. Replace switch (if the cleaner doesn’t work and you are confident soldering)
    3. Return it back to the shop where you bought it (for exchange or repair depending on the time you’ve had it)
    4. Send it to EHX for repair under warranty (contact ehx) https://www.ehx.com/about/contact
    5. Send it to EHX for repair outside of warranty (contact ehx) https://www.ehx.com/about/contact

The switch does not click, would that indicate a bad switch? I wasn’t sure because of the fact that you have to hold that switch down to record a loop.

After doing some more testing it looks like the tap function is working, it just doesn’t record when you hold it down. Does that mean that the switch is good and that something else is wrong?

I’m not sure, because it’s a momentary switch it doesn’t click like the on/off switch will. Unless you can see something obvious wrong inside the pedal it’s probably not something you are going to be able to fix yourself to be honest and if the tap tempo is working then I’d guess it’s not the switch.

Just troubleshooting…Are you in loop mode, and are the repeats turned all the way up?
