Allright this may be put me over the brink to madness lol

As the subject Suggests I am trying to use my cell nine pedal to logic. Following the mini tutorials online it appears that I could do this using a feature called I O but I appear to be missing something because no sound is coming out.

I have the synth9 in > mackieprofx6 output 3 and synth output going into output 2.

My guitar is in our 1.

Then I have opened a track and started IO. I can ping it and I can hear my guitar fine but no effect. Checked dry/wet all of that.

On IO Output is 3 and input is 1 or 2? I have tried them both so that doesn’t seem to be the issue. Hopefully I explained well enough. I can take pics too? Help would be immensely appreciated.
