Hi – I love the Ring Thing so far. But one thing I’ve noticed is that when I have my expression pedal plugged in (a roland ev-5), I can’t change presets unless I have the pedal down all the way in the toe position. I just want to make sure that this is the proper functionality and not a defect in my device. Or is there just something I’m overlooking that would allow me to change presets no matter what the current position of the expression pedal?
thanks!

Some quick troubleshooting: If the pedal is not all the way toe-down (but in the middle somewhere) and you press the button twice, does it change presets? I mean that if you are in the middle with the exp pedal, stomping once should restore the default setting that you are currently on, and the second stomp should change to the next preset.
I first had the EV5 as well, it does not work right. If you unplug the EV5, do the presets change normally? I changed to a Moog EP2 and had no further issues.

Hi – no, I can’t change or save presets unless the expression pedal is in full toe or full heel mode. Anywhere in between thwarts any changing/saving. I will try the Moog pedal. And, yes, it works fine w/o the expression pedal plugged in.
Thanks for replying and for your advice…
