Folks,
I need to replace the footswitch on my russian big muff as it is proving completely unreliable.
I have a minor problem – firstly I have bought a 6 pin switch to swap it out, but opening up the pedal these look different – are these interchangeable?
If this switch is appropriate then what orientation should i have the switch?
Sorry if this is vague

It’ll work fine. Just move the wires from the old switch to the new switch one lug at a time to keep from getting lost.
Thanks – provided i mirror the wiring is there any up or down orientation of either switch or are they symetrical?

It’s symmetrical so solder away!
I’ve replaced the foot switch and the intermittemt cutting out has gone but it is REALLY quiet when the pedal is on.
what have i done wrong?
Wire in the wrong place? Too much heat while soldering can also melt the switch. Those switches are notorious for that.
