    Hi,

    I would like to know if the external fx loop sits before or after the internal fx in the signal chain.

    …and, using the external fx loop doesn’t disable the internal fx, does it?

    It is after and it does not by pass the effects.

    I read the manual several times but it would seem the info regarding the whereabouts of the fx loop in the signal chain escaped me. Sorry!

    You probably wouldn’t get much of an FX result other than your original signal would. So, your guitar would have the FX but the SuperEgo wouldn’t.
