Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Superego+ letting dry signal through occasionally when turned fully CCW
Hey, so I recently got a Superego+ and am loving it for the most part. But there’s just one issue I have and it’s that I can’t get a completely wet signal all the time. I mainly notice it when I’m in auto mode and have the attack set fully CW, the first note I strum will still have a dry signal in there even though all the notes afterwards won’t. If I shorten the attack then that first note will be completely wet but after a certain point (about 3 o’clock it seems) that dry signal will cut through on the first note after engaging the pedal. Any idea how to fix this? It really gets in the way of doing pad sounds.
Is the dry knob fully CCW ?
Yes, I’ve turned it as much CCW as I can. I’ll engage the pedal in auto mode, play a note and it has the dry signal, but the next note is 100% wet as it should be.
Here are the settings I’m using: https://i.imgur.com/YQSKirR.jpg
Can you post an audio example ?
Sure, here: https://clyp.it/rigdrwqs
The first half shows an example of my dry signal and then with the pedal engaged in Auto mode with Attack set fully CW. The second half shows off the dry signal again and then with the pedal engaged in Auto mode with Attack set to noon. Dry is completely CCW and all other knobs are set the same in both clips. As you can hear in the first half the first chord still has the dry signal with the rest being pure wet, while in the second clip all the chords are pure wet as I expect them to be.
Where is the delay coming from ? Post SuperEgo ?
Yeah, post-ego, I can do a completely dry chain post-ego as well, it’s still the same thing going on.
