I recently acquired a Superego+ and find it extremely useful for what I do. I have a couple of suggestions.
Send/Return Jack Placement
SEND is an output. RETURN is an input. Your pedal ‘standard’ seems to be: inputs on the right, outputs on the left. Besides inconsistency, the current configuration does not lend itself to clean pedal chaining. It is a minor point. It just seemed odd. I did see that the ‘Turnip Greens’ pedal is also configured this way.
Return Signal Operation
First, the SEND signal does exactly what I expect it to do in all modes and options. Using the pedal with two amps/channels with the Send and Output jacks functions perfectly. The Return is where I have issue. Specifically, in mode 5 (Live Effects). I believe that in modes 1 through 4 operation is as expected.
In mode 5 the Return signal is added to the Output only with Effects on. I would like the option of using the Send/Return chain without Effects.
Suggestion: In mode 5 use the Bypass button to enable/disable the addition of the effects and Return to the Output (much like modes 1-4). And only have the Effect button enable/disable effects in that chain.
Why? The existing functionality makes it impossible to use a single amp/channel in mode 5 with no effects. There are external pedals that I want to use for both freeze and stand-alone so I want them in the Send/Return loop.
Please disregard if there is some way to currently do this. But it eludes me.
*Update: in mode 5 the Send also cuts without the Effects on, ONLY with the ‘Pitch’ effect setting. Very odd.
