In addition to all the already wonderful features, may I suggest one improvement for the latch or auto mode, which would help me to make an even better use of Superego:
Currently, the latch mode picks up what has been played (i.e. the notes currently sounding, typically a chord), which means you play the strings first and then push the button. In auto mode melody lines are taken, but auto mode continously transforms all notes played, not just the bit I would like to have as a chord layer.
What I would love to have is a mode, where I can push the button and everything which is played after (until release) is transformed to a synth sound. Releasing the button would then hold the current layer. The idea behind this is pretty simple, I would like to have a background sound reflecting the melody line I am playing rather than playing a chord, hold it, and then play the melody over it (current latch mode). So in a more systematic way:
push button -> end all synth notes currently playing
hold button down->play single notes, transformed to synth sound
release button-> hold synth sound
push button-> end all synth notes currently playing
I hope this suggestion makes sense. If you think it does and plan to implement this in a release V2 of Superego, I would love to hear about it
Another thing that would make Superego even more useful would be to add internal switching (with an external toggle) to put effects either in the Superegos effects loop, or in the series with the pedal. Currently I use a T1M dropout to get that function but it eats up a spot on the board that is rather use for a sound shaper.
