It would be much easier to find support for a product if the product had its own thread or subtopic in the forum under the maintopic of Support. Maybe a solution could be to tag the message and later one could browse them through a tagcloud?
June 8, 2010 at 6:16 pm #102244SanquiFlerbMemberthat’s why there is a search function: to find things on the forum and on the site

I think the search results has several downsides.
The subject is shortened if the subject is long.
Depending what keywords you search for there are just too many uninteresting results.
For me there is just too much data and bad styling presented in the results it gets tiresome. The most important though is that I dont want to miss out a thread about my interest just because I made a search with the wrong keyword. I also have an interest to be active and post at places where i know others with the same interest are.

Not being smart, but lately nobody searchs for anything on here. Everybody asks questions without looking at the website, for example “how can I contact EHX?”. You can always check new posts also, or try several keywords. Usually, old threads are old and nobody cares about them. If you feel like posting something interesting/doubts about ehx gear/anything else or OT just post it. If it has been posted before, you’ll see that post without doing that much search.
Remember that the search function its almost useless on pretty much every forum.
Cheers

Take a look at the Super Admin list: https://www.ehx.com/forums/member/memberlist/
Ran Levy is the active Super Admin but has made no posts nor have I ever gotten a response from PMs for threads to be stickied.

I want to know what problems others have had with a specific product so i can learn from the possible solutions presented. Even though it is not the ultimate solution, it is something that would make a huge difference with a small effort. The sub category s also easy to link to from the product page.
I don’t have an oppinion about the rest, the search function i s good to me.
