Hey folks, first post here. I am curious about the SPulsar. I’ve played with it set-up Mono briefly in a shop, but what I am wondering is….
In stereo does it do nice panning sweep effects, like from left to right channel? Also a ping pong effect?
I have been using a Boss Pn-2 Trem/Panner for years – I guess I’m just wondering if the SPulsar would be a god replacement for this pedal. I am running Mono in Stereo out. But I’m more keen to pan things than I am to run tremolo effects.
Any sound links would be amazing, or just general thoughts on it’s panning effect.
OK, after more reading – I think it handles panning the way I’m hoping it does. If anyone knows of a video or sound file using the Pulsar in triangle with a slower rate – please post a link. Thanks!
yeah, the pulsar really comes alive in stereo, ping-pongs, sweeping, the lot… you can get some very cool effects.
I own the PN-2 as well…and while I like the Pulsar a lot, I wouldn’t consider it a replacement. THe PN-2 is much more “user-friendly” in that the rate and sweep are much more controllable. DOn’t get me wrong, you can get some amazing sounds out of the pulsar, especially in stereo, (more interesting ones than you would from the PN-2, in fact) but for functionality, the PN-2 edges it.
