Hi, i absolutely adore the new STEREO POLY PHASE with its “start” and “stop” knobs and the ability to use it with either expressionpedal, envelope filter or LFO. i haven’t got the RIDDLE yet, but i definitely will get it.
the “start/stop”-function for me is like one of the best inventions to your pedals – so useful and easy to get just your personal sound!
NOW PEOPLE: i think a huge sellout would be a STEREO POLY FLANGE built just as similar as both pedals mentioned. with “start/stop” knobs, expressionpedal ability, lfo and envelope! AND – if possible with throughzero (or at least “similar” – you don’t need your signal to disappear that often, but you definitely need a dramatic “oldstyle” flange!
positive and negativ feedback would be great too… and a built in toaster
this pedal is in my dreams – make it come true!

Still – there should be an XO-Flanger pedal with start/stop and expressionpedal option!
and it would be sooooo great if it got (at least nearly) TZF possibilities. The Hoax is wonderful, but not that great for live use!
but i agree, to XO the Hoax would be blasphemy!
Anyway – just an XO’ed Mistress is not enough. I think it’s time for a new flanger,
combining the best of both worlds – good Choralflanging AND TZF(likeness)!And IMPORTANT – of course it should be stereo (ins AND outs!) BUT:
one thing that’s strange about my beloved polyphase XO is, that the startknob-position seems to dial in the left voice, while the stop dials in the right. so wider phasing – wider stereo, soft phasing – almost no stereo. seems strange, although i must confess, that it sounds great.but to get a good stereo effect, phasing amplitude must get to a certain amount and if you set phasings to extremer “out-of-the-middle” settings, it’s like you pan your sound to either left output (bassier phasings) or right output (treblier settings). thats counterproductive IMHO.

an of course – i forgot to mention a blend knob of course
and a level knob would be great – the hoax is a beast and the sounds are out of this world, but some sounds are just so much more louder than others. it’s ok with the hoax, for i think its more of a recording effect.
but we need the best live flanger around!
there still isn’t a great analog flanger who does it (almost) all!
if there’s a bunch of people who can do it – EHX is it!

I had another idea for a hopefully soon coming new XO-Stereo-Flanger from EHX:
What if – the flange circle would always start at the dialed in position of the “START” knob (everytime you engage the pedal) AND it would always end the cycle no matter where in the cycle you’d turn it off!??
this way you could introduce a dramatic flange rise/drop whenever you need it by just engaging!?
i think this – incorporated with a “nearly-thru-zero”-flange-setting would be sooo useful and absolutely without comparison!
please EHX – let it come true (thru?)
