When I’m not running the SMMwH I’m stereo, I have a small 1/4″ cable I plug from the bottom mono out to bottom mono in. It adds to the repeats and you get some groovy tones!
January 7, 2014 at 4:14 am #119608russ5254Memberhi guys,
Hope someone can help me out a bit here.i am trying to setup my line6 echo park and the Hazarai using the Boss LS-2 (always on in A+B mix mode) such that the delays are running in parallel whenever i turn them on.
both units’ levels are balanced properly so that there are no volume jumps/drops when both or either one is turned on.unfortunately the Hazarai is not doing too well in this parallel loop situation.
i’m always getting an out of phase sound from it whenever it is turned on.
the thing about the LS-2 is that it has no direct dry signal through so my dry signal has to come from either one of the delay units.i have tried the following:
1. blend at 100% wet on hazarai and use echo park to provide the dry sound (mix knob at 50-60% to make the repeats a little more audible)
2. blend at 50-60% on hazarai to provide the dry+delay/reverb and echo park at 100% wet
3. use only the mono in/out for send/return
4. use only the stereo in/out for send/return (i tried this after reading from jvm forum that it worked in a parallel loop but in that situation it was in series with a vox time machine)i read in andertons.co.uk website that the unit has a “dual 90 out of phase output”..
is this true and is it possibly be causing my phase issues?
do i need to have both outputs going into the loop in order to use it as a parallel effect to mix with a dry signal??sorry for the long post & thanks in advance for any replies!
January 10, 2014 at 4:50 am #119610russ5254Memberok, i’ve managed to find the way to connect the Hazarai properly in a parallel loop without encountering the out-of-phase problem.
I have to use Input/R and Mono/L out jacks.
When Haz is engaged, the “dry” signal actually goes out-of phase.
So blend must be set to 100% wet. Anything less and the phase mismatch starts to happen.
So i guess that’s what was meant by “Dual 90 out of phase outputs”…..So my routing for Hazarai in parallel with Line6 Echo Park using Boss LS-2 is as follows:
LS-2 input = guitar+pre Echo Park effects (dirt/fuzz/wah..etc)
LS-2 A send -> [strong]Haz Input/R -> Haz Mono/L out[/strong] -> LS-2 A return
LS-2 B send -> Echo Park Mono in -> Echo Park -> Mono out – LS-2 B return
LS-2 output = to AmpGuess I will not be able to fully enjoy the “lush chorus, dense reverb and extra effects!”

How can I do that? I did all the essential things like take out the nuts, but next I tried to pull of and it’s so hard
Thanks
May 6, 2014 at 9:45 am #119937theodorMemberi think the feedback loop/x2 mod is posted before but i have an extension to that.
this is usually inL>outR>patch cble back to> inR>outL
the twist is sticking it at right the beginning and end of the pedalboard at once for much more ambient drive sounds. so the pedal board would be where the patch cable is.
also i find reversing the above instruction to swap right and left sounds are quite different.
I mostly wish for a switch on this- love the verb, extended repeats on multitap, slight dual delay and amazing modulation amount-like 3 flangers at once slightly out of sync with eachother.
but reverse modes get a bit strange-the intelligence comes late and the smeared sound doesnt happen, but mostly for other modes inc. looper same effects are available with repeats turned down.
i think problem is switching cant turn outputs off’ which usually happens when jacks are removed to get the usual true mono sound. does anyone know how to do this? would some custom bypass pedal with stereo jacks and a bit of switching to break the switch work?
May 6, 2014 at 9:50 am #119938theodorMemberyeh anyway reading up i think it works best with the pedalboard- and actually amp preamp inbetween because of those ’90 phase outputs’ so channel R straight after guitar and L one in fx loop creates enough difference for the phase not to matter when ran through itself.
yeh those out of phase outputs were annoying when i built a blend with 180 switch…But i used it with the blend knob off.

July 9, 2014 at 2:32 pm #120097theodorMemberQuote:is there any way to get a sustain setting with the mmwh?what kind of sustain? you can get some tremolo picking simulator on the multitap mode. Reverse delay is probably the best bet for sustain, as you can blend in more delays until you can’t hear the individual repeats, and their attack is removed so they blend into the tail of your notes if you set the timing right. For something like a freeze the closest would either be the looper set with repeats down or the multitap w. reverse giving some reverse tails but you can’t do much fast stuff with that

February 23, 2017 at 4:53 pm #122633FrontearsMemberHello fellow pedal junkies
How do I get the Multi Tap “1 Sec + Rev” reverse-function to go up to 6 seconds reverse?
Can’t seem to find instructions anywhere. Though the manual says it can go up to 6 seconds, I can only get it to reverse about 2-3 secs.
Cheers!
