Nope, not a feedback loop. In stereo, the delay lines are independent.
It’d be essentially like hooking it up through 4 SMMHs in a row, with 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 having the same settings.

Think I might keep the paint on this time around.
August 26, 2009 at 6:51 am #100927hundirlaflotaMemberHi,
I just wanted to report a bizarre phenomenon concerning the SMMH and my guitar volume knob.
Being the SMMH placed in an FX loop, I played a guitar line with the reverse mode at maximum repetitions and let it ring. I was surprised cause, when turning down the volume of my guitar, it turned down the volume of the delayed sound… I mean, I wasn’t playing anymore, I was just letting the delayed sound ring, so why the volume knob of the guitar affected the delay sound? Strange…August 26, 2009 at 10:12 am #100930ghostMemberIt likely has something to do with the “intelligent reverse” mode they’ve come up with… (mind you… I could be talking out of my ass),,, but I know the reverse mode does respond to the input signal, as to make it a bit more “playable”….

Thanks, ghost!September 14, 2009 at 4:50 am #101434ChrisFFTAParticipantok… question on the Haz. Currently I have a Boss RE20 but I have decided its only good for the echos. Can the Haz ‘approximate’ a reverb+tape type echo sound… or is this totally not possible? Thinking the Haz + Malekko 616 would be a sweet match…

I have a setting in the Hazarai that’s very close to Space Echo (at least to my uneducated ears),
it’s the modulation mode with the filter pushed half to the right, modulation at half or a bit to the right, repeats 100 to 300 ms depending on the beat/tempo…
Cheers!October 10, 2009 at 1:27 pm #102140DarkAxelParticipantSo, guys, culd anyone please help me?
I’ve got a little problem with the looper function – the new layer is always a tad louder than the previous one, usually it’s very annoying. Can anyone please help me with that? what’s a best way to prevent this?
October 10, 2009 at 6:42 pm #102143cabomanoParticipantIt’s normal and you can’t do much about it, unless you’re in loop mode, when the Repeats knob controls the level of the layers relative to each other. Fully clockwise, all the layers will have the same volume, while fully anti-clockwise the new layer will completely erase the previous one when you lift your foot from the TAP TEMPO switch. Hope that helps.

October 22, 2009 at 10:23 am #102520cleanclangParticipantRight, I’ve had my Stereo Memory Man for a while now, and really love it. But I feel I’m not fulfilling its potential.
What do the SMM’s stereo inputs/outputs offer, I mean if I’m just using one SMM?
Does the stereo output send just the effected signal, and the mono output just the dry, when used together?
Is there any use for the stereo input, for one guitarist? What’s the point of this? What different configurations of the two inputs and two outputs are possible?
Thanks in advance!!!

The stereo inputs will help if you put in a stereo signal, so if you had a stereo chorus for example, it will stay in true stereo. It does not send a dry signal. As far as different configurations of the inputs/outputs, just scroll up, there are some cool routing methods described in this very thread.
Oh, so with mono input, the stereo outputs don’t split the signal into ping pongs of the delay, or wet/dry signal? Ok, pity…

No, if you use the lift input the outputs will split the signal once you use both outputs. If you only use the left output you have mono => mono, if you use both outputs and only the left input you have mono => stereo which gives you the ping pongs of the delay. If you use both inputs you’ll have stereo => stereo…
May 26, 2010 at 1:06 am #104625spaceshotMemberanyone mod the tap/record footswitch with a soft touch or nicer feeling switch? i haven’t even opened up my smmh yet but i am thinking about those line 6 dl4 mods w/ the nicer switches.
