no problem, it’s not a fender amp but it’s a series loop (which I’m presuming yours is?)
December 10, 2008 at 8:49 pm #88896Small StoneMemberYep, it’s a series loop (no way of adjusting the level of wetness of the signal).
December 10, 2008 at 9:12 pm #88898julianModeratorif there is a volume drop, you could always put a 2 channel mixer and a volume pedal on your board.
Split the signal right before the SMMH (either use a stereo out from a pedal or get a Y cable)
One signal to the mixer
one signal to the SMMH, which then goes to the volume pedal, which then goes to the mixer.
Change all your presets to 100% wetI run a similar set up (except no mixer, I just use the separate channels on my amp)
Since the SMMH and the dry volume are set differently, using the SMMH will not drop the volume. (make sure to rock back on the volume pedal when you want your SMMH off, otherwise it will, because when the SMMH is off it would boost the dry signal)December 10, 2008 at 9:37 pm #88902electro-melxModeratorQuote:Yep, it’s a series loop (no way of adjusting the level of wetness of the signal).yeah, same as mine….I’ll let you know.

when I feel like it sometime I’m going to go into the tube zipper and flanger hoax lounges on HC and copy paste all the cool settings.

I own a Hot Rod Deluxe and have tried the SMMH in the effects loop. The volume drop isn’t any different from when I have it in front of the amp. It just depends on where you have the blend set and shouldn’t really bother you unless you’re pretty fussy about this sort of thing. In fact, I decided to run the pedal up front, since there was too little difference in overall tone and feel to justify a separate set of cables. That being said I mostly use it for subtle delay/flanging effects [unless I’m fooling around with it at home ].
January 13, 2009 at 10:08 pm #90669toescantalkMemberLove this thread. Can’t wait to try out some of the settings especially after hearing the Flanger Hoax and the SMMH together which I haven’t played around with much yet.
Here’s a simple Reverse Echo setting on the SMMH as the base of a shoegazey song:

January 13, 2009 at 10:18 pm #90670electro-melxModeratorHi welcome to the forum….nice tunes.
January 13, 2009 at 10:46 pm #90673toescantalkMemberCheers! And not just returning compliments: Early Revolution rock! If I was you I would get some fop to sing over the top or even plug yourself into some reverb and distortion and put it really low in the mix. But if I was you the guitar parts wouldn’t sound anywhere near as cool either

But if I was you the guitar parts wouldn’t sound anywhere near as cool eitherThanks, yeah….I’d like to get vocals on the songs. It’s something I’d like to do this year.. I’m just having trouble finding the right people, ideally i’d like to get vocals on them and get a band together to gig them. I had a phone call from a mate yesterday, he’s a drummer who has a girlfriend who can play piano, sax and sing apparently, so something might come from that.
I’ve been in bands before and they’ve always ended being loads of hassle, I just want to make sure I have people in this project who want the same things out of it as me..
ah well, we’ll see what happens this year
I might just end up getting an EHX voice box and doing the vocals myself!! (although, I don’t really enjoy hearing my voice) 😆
January 31, 2009 at 8:34 pm #92366Majicmatty3MemberHi Guys sorry if this has been answered in another thread but i couldn’t find it if it has.
I’m really interested in getting the SMMH for its looper function and just wanted to know. when you record a loop bypass the signal and then want to bring it back in does it start the loop from the beggining again? or is the loop continuously playing while the pedal is bypassed and the loop is just brought in at time you hit the pedal? Thanks for any help
January 31, 2009 at 9:12 pm #92367julianModeratorit starts playing again
though the way I have it in my chain, I can have it both ways (I have it on a separate channel with a volume pedal behind it, so I can fade loops in and out, and make loops louder than the dry signal without making the guitar signal quieter)January 31, 2009 at 9:31 pm #92368Majicmatty3MemberQuote:it starts playing again

CheersJanuary 31, 2009 at 9:40 pm #92369julianModeratorthe looper on the SMMH is really awesome, best feature of the SMMH IMO-
tap tempo, variable feedback (well sort of, only works while recording), speed up/down an octave, and reverse. 30 seconds, infinite overdubs, tone control. The 2nd best feature is the reverse, followed by the echo, followed by the modulation, followed by the multi-tap + reverse, followed by the multi-tap.
