I don’t know why this doesn’t exist, but it kills me that I can’t run any of my stereo pedals into the Holiest grail.

March 22, 2009 at 2:27 am #94775st.bedeMemberI have run into the same issue with another pedal..I can not rememeber what but, I wanted to run my polyphase out in stereo into something that only took in mono but ran out stereo, IMHO, any pedal that runs out stereo should take in stereo…
April 25, 2009 at 2:29 pm #96052WatsonWoodMemberAbsolutely. I use the SMMH and was about to buy a Holiest Grail when I noticed the mono only in, so I hesitated and ended up going for a vintage Freedom Amp instead. But I still want a Grail. Reckon I will wait and see if the stereo input feature is added. And the Holy Stain would be great with stereo input and output too.

+1 on this — id pick up a holiest grail in a heartbeat if it had true stereo in/out … not so holy without it…
August 29, 2009 at 5:26 pm #101017mattcaseyMemberwouldn’t you need two pedals to do stereo in and out?
how would you be able to have two signals go into one circuit and come out as two separate signals?

The main idea is that if the pedal before it has stereo outs, then you don’t lose the stereo effects of that pedal as long as the next pedal also has stereo ins and outs.

i understand that, and its a cool concept, i’m just curious if it’s even possible — it sounds like you’d be getting two circuits enclosed in one pedal…why not buy two and alter each in/out independently..because of money?
November 18, 2009 at 12:55 pm #103884frances rhodesMembermany pedals have that stereo input+output, like the dunlop tremolo TS-1
but for digital effects you have to find an algorithm which is fast enough to run the effect in real time AD/DA processing needs a lot of resources.
you still have the possibility to by 2 holiest grails and use the midi input to set them with the exact same settings!!anyway, anyone of you know where i can still find a new holiest grail? i was pretty thrilled when i saw the demo of the cathedral but i never saw any demo of the holiest… and now it kills me that i never got to buy one!!
anyway, any suggestion will be appreciated!!

I know Hotrox still have some in the UK

….but wherever you are in the world you should be able to find some using google.
November 18, 2009 at 7:16 pm #103897frances rhodesMemberthanks!
i found 1 on ebay in italy, supposed to be new, but they sell it 279€ eventhough the ad from the shop says “239€”… not including the shipping…
and i cannot find any holiest grail used.
anyway, thanks for the linkNovember 27, 2009 at 11:53 pm #104330SanquiFlerbMemberI have been thinking of “if it has stereo outs, why not stereo ins” a while. I don’t get it. It’s nonsense not having stereo I/Os. A more exagerated project would be stereo every pedal, so if you like having your wah (?) last on the chain you can do so.

I’ve been resisting, but eventually I will have a Cathedral.
