The hell are you talking about guys? The SEM is just delicious!! Even thought the chorus is not so good, the combiation of both Chorus and Flanger is wicked (Try it after a Muff)
I loved it over the Small Clone, Nano Clone, and Clone Theory. Tried’em all out looking for a chorus and this one won for the C/F combination alone (as I said, the chorus by itself isn’t THAT great)October 6, 2009 at 4:19 am #102054dsl1MemberQuote:It’s like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain, it’s so good… :metal:

December 30, 2009 at 11:36 pm #105900babymicrobeParticipantI love my SEM.
December 30, 2009 at 11:53 pm #105904TenSecondTedMemberGot one off Santa Claus!
I like it already. It can make some weird old sounds – especially using the filter matrix. I wouldn’t say ‘classic tones’ but great if you are into experimentation. Haven’t had a chance to fully get to grips with it yet, but it’s a thumbs up from me so far.
December 31, 2009 at 5:41 pm #105927DarkAxelParticipantI!ve got a question… can anyone compare it with flanger emulated by SMMH on Mod-delay mode with delay on 0? because SMMH emulates best flanger i ever heard and in last few months i start to wonder that the hoax is probably too crazy for me etc…
anyone? because the SEM is fairly priced, fairly sized and really affordable for me
July 9, 2010 at 1:05 pm #110081DarkAxelParticipantso i tried it the day before yesterday and i wasn’t really impressed. The flanger is like “meh”… except the full depth settings, that’s hella cool. I was really pissed about the Rate not really working with flanger before 12 o’clock…
the big surprise for me was the chorus. I don’t like chorus, but the chorus on the SEM is really great! It really got me…. with my tele it’s like instant Message in the bottle
i kinda liked it with SMMH, but not really with distortion after or fuzz before it.
verdict: no, thank you… that pedal is not for me
July 9, 2010 at 3:26 pm #110087B.DawsParticipantI just ordered one off of Ebay yesterday. I have been looking at it for awhile and with it’s size I think it will be great on my board. I can’t wait to run my new Germanium Big Muff through it!!!

i think it’s a great swirly little box, and it’s psychedelic lushness is enough to make my drummer tell me to turn it off.

yes, i’m familiar with that and i hate it
December 16, 2011 at 10:29 am #116536kimanistarMemberI just went into a music store and tried the SEM for fun and my wife and I both fell in love with it.I actually tried it with a nano clone and I must say that I preferred the chorus setting on the SEM.I found it much more subtle and warm. And the Flanger is great.I’m a singer/songwriter who plays Reggae,Funk,Blues and Rock and this pedal the right amount of dynamics with out being over bearing. It can add the right amount of color to your rhythm and even spice up your leads. And you can be there all day just finding cool ways to mix them.If you are looking for an Avant-garde effect look elsewhere. If you want add some character to your music this is right up your alley.I say Two Thumbs up to the Stereo Electric Mistress XO.
