Tagged: 95000 recording
I have the following question:
Can I go from playback mode immediately into recording a new loop, discarding current loop?
Background: using external clock:
* starting while idle, I hit the “new loop” button.
* I start the clock and then hit “record” when ready. This records first loop.
* I then hit the “record” button again, which puts it into “playback” mode. Perfect so far.
* Let that play a bit, then after a while I want to record a new loop, completely disregarding the previous audio.
This is where it falls apart…
If I press “new loop” it will go into overdub mode on the next loop, which is not what i want. If I press “new loop”, then “record” it does the same.
How do I get it to just record a new loop and throw away the previous? Do i really have to press “play/stop” before pressing “new loop”? That seems to be the only way i can find besides holding down buttons for 2 seconds and starting over.
