Hey peoples,
I’m thinking of overhauling my lefty Squier by throwing a humbucker sized p90 in the bridge,
I’ve foud lots of pickguards that’ll allow me to do this. The thing holding me back though is that I’m unsure about the routing beneath the plate at the moment.
Any of you guys or gals know what way the Squier Strat is routed underneath?
heck, I might even make a Big Apple 2x humbucker stratocaster yet.
get a router, or borrow one and route it a bit.
most squier’s are ‘swimming pool’ routed because they use the same bodies for all the different models.
….. or just unscrew the pickguard and take a look!!!! ??????????
I used a chisel when I changed the p’ups in my strat to parallel to the strings. worked fine. just work slow and be careful.
