    Hi,

Im hoping someone can help me find the schematic for the sovtek mig 100 u. I have the one for the mig 100 h
but this amp is different as it has a voltage selector where as the mig 100 u does not. My tech doesnt want to
carry out the work until he has the actual schematic (i want to put an fx loop in it)

Hopefully one of you can come up with the goods :)

    Thanks,
    Tom.

I can’t speak for the ‘U’ version, but the ‘H’ is just a JCM800. Very simple circuit. I doubt The ‘U’ is that drastically different; likely the voltage selector is the one and only difference. It might be something really simple, and I’d treat it as a JCM800 and take the ‘send’ from the Cathode follower. If your ‘tech’ doesn’t want to do the work, he should just say so. But to make you find a schematic as a cop out is being lazy. If I’m reading this wrong, I apologize now, but I still insist it’s likely a simple circuit, so just do it already.

The voltage selector isn’t going to have a thing to do with adding an effects loop.

I don’t know if it is an important matter, but the Mig 100 U (mine, at least) has 6n2p preamp tubes instead of ecc83/12ax7 and 6p3s power tubes instead of 6l6/5881, both russian.

I just opened up my sovtek Mig 100U today and mapped the preamp out. I was curious to see how much it differed from the 100H if any. The major difference is that the tone stack is taken off the cathode instead of plate driven. The power section looks identical from what i could tell. The second and third cathode resistors are both 1k unbypassed instead of 4.7k. Your tech is either very picky or incompetent to demand a schematic. Goodluck!

Is there any way you could share in more detail what you mapped out in the mig 100u? Bought one myself pretty cheap and it needs repair so any help is appreciated! I have a feeling the owner before me changed things up so another useful item would be some nice detailed photos of the inside of a working mig.

    Thanks!
