hello, i’m back with another problem.
so I just got a hold of an original soul preacher, i think from 1977.
It sounds great when the effect is engaged but when it’s supposed to be bypassed/dry there is no sound?
i opened it up and there aren’t any broken connections or anything.
what else is strange is that it is in beautiful shape, i don’t know that anyone ever used it before me.
could it be a bad switch?
ok thanks again.

I have a vintage SP as well, and when it arrived, the treble boost switch was bad. I disassembled it, cleaned it with some contact cleaner, and now it works good as new. Maybe that’s all it needs – a bit of cleaning.
thanks i’ll try that next.
dust is a killer.
here’s a pic, isn’t she pretty?
