Hi; just swapped my previous compressor with a S/P-Nano, and am very dissatisfied with the noticable distortion that it introduces: It is the only pedal being used (e.g. guitar directly connected, then to amp)… I play jazz/clean-tone, and irrespective of the attack, level or gain settings, when it is presented with a picked-note, the signal is distorted – similar to over modulating the input – versus bypassed.
Is this a typical behavior of this pedal, or should I return it and try another of the same model? I would have expected, for its price, that it would be a clean, quality unit as compared with cheap/generic ciruits out there. ‘Any thoughts and experience from other clean-tone guitarists out there?
Sorry to hear this.
